It is six hours long, and narrated by Wyatt Baker—the very same dude who brought The Fifteenth of June to life via audio several months ago.

Nothing could have prepared Brennan Glover for the car crash that claimed the lives of his wife and six-year-old daughter. Stricken with grief, the only things that get him through each day are breaking his sobriety and clinging to Fender—the family dog and the sole survivor of the crash.
Desperate to distance Brennan from tragedy, his two closest friends take him on the cross-country road trip they had always talked about. But what begins as an effort to mend his broken heart ends up unraveling a secret that changes everything he thought he knew about his family. Can a journey of six thousand miles lead Brennan to acceptance and new beginnings?
From finding the good in an often cruel world to learning to say goodbye to those we love most, this sophomore release from author Brent Jones is sure to leave readers longing for home, wherever that may be.
Available in print, audio, and eBook formats.
Several libraries local to Niagara Region have purchased paperback copies of Fender: A Novel for their collections.
When I published The Fifteenth of June, I had some fun by creating a blog post outlining which Hollywood celebrities I’d cast as each of the main characters.
I decided to do the same thing for Fender, which is now available for purchase on Amazon in print and Kindle eBook format.
After scouring the internet for ideas, here is the best fit I came up with based on how I envisioned and described each character in the book:
The road trip in Fender is based on a real road trip my wife and I took with our dogs back in 2015. Just for fun, I thought I’d share our itinerary from that trip, as well as a few photos.
Including driving around each destination—from the hotel to dinner, landmarks, dog parks, and so forth—we logged more than 7,000 miles and 126 hours behind the wheel on that trip, visiting 12 destination cities and spending 23 nights on the road.
We took I-90 west, I-5 south, and I-80 back east.
In less than three weeks, Fender: A Novel will be released in paperback and Kindle eBook formats.
A big advantage I had to publishing my second novel is that I was able to distribute Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs) to fans of The Fifteenth of June.
My ARC team is about 21 strong, and I’ve got feedback from a number of ARC readers so far that I want to share.
I’m running a giveaway on Goodreads from today until August 20, 2017.
I’ll be shipping print copies of my second novel, Fender, to 10 lucky winners on August 21, the day of its official release.
It costs absolutely nothing—as in $0—to enter. All you need is a Goodreads account.
I’m excited to announce that my second novel, Fender, will be officially released on August 21, 2017.
It will be released in two formats to start:
- Kindle eBook ($2.99 USD)
- Paperback ($9.99 USD)
