Fender has been nominated, via The Kindle Book Review, in two categories for the 2018 Kindle Book Awards.
- Literary Fiction
- Reader’s Choice (for Literary Fiction)
It’s that second category where I need your help, the 2018 Reader’s Choice award.
Fender is competing against hundreds of titles, and the title with the most votes (regardless of genre) wins. In other words, every vote counts.
A runner-up badge will be awarded to the book in each genre with the most votes that doesn’t win. In the case of Fender, that would be literary fiction.
To vote, click the button above, scroll to the bottom of page, and enter FENDER BY BRENT JONES in the comments.
You can vote until October 15, 2018, and the winner will be announced November 1, 2018.
Also, just for voting, you will be eligible to enter a giveaway (via Rafflecopter) to win an 8″ Kindle Fire, a $25 Amazon eGift card, and a “bookaholic” coffee mug.
A $120 value in all, I’m told.

UPDATE (September 5, 2018): Fender was chosen, by a panel of judges, as a top twenty semi-finalist in the Literary Fiction category.
See?
They presented me with a fancy digital badge and everything.
- Top five finalists will be announced October 1, 2018.
- Winners will be announced November 1, 2018.
There’s nothing to vote for in this category. Finalists and winners will be selected by a panel of judges and, if Fender makes it to the next round, I’ll be sure to update this post.

UPDATE (October 2, 2018): The top five finalists were announced yesterday in each category, and it appears Fender didn’t make the cut. Fender was nonetheless a top twenty semi-finalist, and I feel pretty good about that.
Fender still has a shot at winning the Reader’s Choice award, however. Please click here, scroll down to the bottom, and leave FENDER BY BRENT JONES in the comments.

UPDATE (November 10, 2018): Aegis Evolution by S.S. Segran took home the Reader’s Choice award for this year, I’m afraid. Nonetheless, I’ve got good news!
Fender received the most votes among any literary fiction title and is, therefore, considered a runner-up.
I consider this a pretty significant accomplishment.
I sincerely want to thank all of you who voted. You made Fender a runner-up winner, and I can’t thank you enough for that.

Fender was the most amazing, heartwarming book I have read. It deals with many real life issues and problems, and how some people cope with their loss and difficulties. I would recommend this book to anyone.
