In less than three weeks, Fender: A Novel will be released in paperback and Kindle eBook formats.
A big advantage I had to publishing my second novel is that I was able to distribute Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs) to fans of The Fifteenth of June.
My ARC team is about 21 strong, and I’ve got feedback from a number of ARC readers so far that I want to share.
The general consensus?
It seems that Fender is a more emotional story than even I realized:
I just finished reading Fender this morning… OMG what an awesome story… I had difficulty getting through the final chapters with dry eyes… You’ve got your work cut out for you to top this one…
I finished Fender! Ugh! . . . Bawled my [face] off Lol! I really liked this one! It was just a great read! Lots of feels!
Another stunning and talented read from you. I will leave my review (all positive) on Goodreads.com for this book.
It’s a wonderful read and full of drama, sensitivity, friendship, caring. etc… Fender is a great book, good stories and yet soooooooooo sad. . . . I am sure it will touch many hearts out there and you will get great reviews. I honestly enjoyed this book just as much or even a touch more than [The Fifteenth of June].
on completion you made me cry so you can suck it. Lol!
I’m only about 60 pages in and I’ve cried already…At least once.
Really, REALLY liked the book. As with the first, you are so good at not glossing over the trouble, pain or darkness in a person’s life experience, but you feather the story with quick, sure glimpses of the good in life…the kind people who cross paths with the protagonist. It leaves me with the feeling of having met a real person—not heroes or villains, but humans who hold deep inside themselves a heroic moment, or a response to others that can hold traces of cruelty. Thank you for Fender.
